Depressing (Depressed) Post

*Caution - Depressing post ahead!*

With every moment of awareness, there's this nagging thought - that even though things are perfectly amazing around me; there's something fundamentally wrong in me, about me. By what age do people normally become aware of what it is that they want to do with their lives? Because I have no idea what I want with mine! This sense of aimlessness is constantly painful, to say the least.

Not that I'm not doing well enough in whatever it is I do. But when I stop and ask myself, "Is this what I want to do all my life?", the answer is always a No. But the problem is, I do not know doing what could change that answer to a Yes!

Are consultants really wise enough to know what I don't know about myself? Can they help? Or do I just need a break? There's really nothing that seems to be helping me out of this senselessness - no thought sounds thoughtful enough, nothing helps me sustain my fleeting moments of happiness.

Please help! Suggest something/anything that can get me out of this awefully gloomy state of mind. :(

I don't know ... it might help for the time being, but definitely not in the wrong run.

A long peaceful break may help you in deciding what you need in long run...

(haha, I wrote "wrong run" earlier :P) ... guess I'm in the wrong run indeed!
anyway, yeah, that might be possible ... but I don't know if I can handle a long break!

It's simple, Just don't stop and ask...It has worked for me.

@Kumar Bibek:
I think it's in one's nature to stop and ask what one's been doing. To not do so would be to defy one's inner voice :)

Are you ok now? Or still contemplating with the thoughts?

read some comedy novel.

P.G.Woodhouse or Douglas Adams.

They surely take off ones focus from meaning/goal of life.

hmm, one of these really boring sessions I attended (or was forced to attend) opened with this line - "if you are here searching for the meaning of life, then leave. For life, is meaningless.".

He then went on to explain a lot ofother things which extracted heavy snores from me, but believe me, nothing more truer than that statement up there. So dont worry, your boat isnt empty - lotsa people wondering what happened that they ended up in this world. :)

Hi Purvi! How did you chance upon such an old blog? :-o

Well let's just say that I have resigned to the ways of life, and am taking it one page at a time :)
