Andhera

Zindagi ke peele panne
Aur diya tere naam ka
Kuchh sawaal parchhaiyon ke
Yeh imtehaan tanhaaiyon ke!

Tanha sa peela chaand bhi
Khoya hai kaale bhanvron mein
Teri aankhon ki gehraaiyon ke
Yeh imtehaan tanhaaiyon ke!

Liked it :-)

It seems like a residual effect of the last poem - written more with the initially-considered-but-later-rejected thoughts from the previous one than with genuine fresh feelings of today. Also, the depth of persian/urdu words makes things sound better :-p.
I've felt it that the same thing written in English looks pale compared to that in Persian/Urdu (both because of the phonetic effect as well as the deeper meaning of words. English is neither a phonetic language, literally and in a poetic sense, and neither does it have the wealth of words like sanskrt/persian)

thank u :)

not a residual effect actually, but it is in continuation to the last poem. not that these thots were considered and rejected :) but the thots have been there at the back of my mind all the time. call it a residual effect of my feeling lonely day after day ;)

and yes, urdu/persian does sound better at times, but it's my language not 'coz it's deeper, but 'coz I can't find the words of my choice in english ;)
